"Not since the first time I heard Barbra Streisand have I been as touched and impressed by a singer and her music as I have been by Liliana."
— Marty Ehrlichman, the discoverer and manager of Barbra Streisand.

"A Dream": I wrote this song in 1986, but recorded it in Nov. 2020. This song was inspired by my life behind the iron curtain. I was in America, unable to return home because of Martial Law in Poland. I felt alone, not understood... After I read Martin Luther King's speech, I felt like I had a soul brother. What Did We Do To Our Love This song flew out of my heart when one of my beautiful love story was coming to and end. "One of the most beautiful and memorable melodies. I have no doubts that one day this song will be a standard, played and performed by various musicians." —Adam Fields, pianist & arranger "...What did we do to our love, what did we? It was so honest, so pure, so beautiful..." |

As My Vision Keeps Improving
When I was writing this poem, that later became this song, I had no idea how it would end. As I was nearing the finish of it, I felt as though the final words were being SPOKEN to me, rather than being written by me. Those words gave me the clarity and strength to better my life. If there is anything or anyone that keeps you away from becoming who you were meant to be, please, listen to this song more than once, or watch this symbolic music video, where wonderful dancers/actors portray a powerful message. Just One More Night
This is one my power rock ballads, written in 1989, prior to having children. I recorded it in my then-small 16 track recording studio in Los Angeles, CA, with an incredible guitarist, Vic Johnson (currently Sammy Hagar's guitarist), and Andre Berry on bass. I programmed my own drums in 1989, and now (2024) I am thrilled to work on re-recording drums with a wonderful drummer, Brandon Skeens. I will let you know once that version is out. For now, to hear "Just One More Night" from 1989 on YouTube, click HERE. "Lovers we were then when the spring arrived, nothing could've pulled us apart. But when the leafs turned brown..." |

Dream Samba
I wrote this song for the motion picture Three of Hearts. There is a scene of a Polish/American wedding, and that's why part of the song is in Polish and a part in English. I had so much fun writing and producing this song. I am embarrassed to admit, but when I was asked to write a sensual Brazilian samba for this movie, I was not familiar with that music style. Yet, I quickly learned the drumming patterns of the style and programmed the basic drum loop. The movie was about falling in love with someone who 'swept you off your feet'. Since I was definitely 'swept off my feet' before, this wonderful feeling and the energetic rhythms of samba made this song dance out of my heart! Hopefully "Dream Samba" will now make you dance and bring some joy! "...Now all my world is turning upside down, I'm falling in love with you." |
I began writing music when I was about 6 years old. Music grew to become a huge part of my life. I performed frequently with different bands; people seemed to love what I was doing, and I continued writing my unique music. When I was about 22, I met the love of my life who eventually asked me to marry him. In order to prepare our lives for our commitment to be missionaries, I agreed that I would give up everything that I was attached to. My then to be husband, told me, "Liliana, that includes your music too." And so I did. My passionate heart, and that young crazy love, spoke louder than the little voice of wisdom within. I gladly gave him my life and everything I had. Later, he tore my heart into 50 million pieces. I know now that when I gave up music, I gave up the core of my being. My return to music is my return to life.
"Music is a moral law. It gives SOUL to the universe, WINGS to the mind, flight to the imagination,
and charm and gaiety to LIFE and to everything."
