A HALF OF ME
A Poem of Self-Discovery Look at me. It can’t be! There is just a half of me. And this half is getting small. Soon it won’t be there at all. So if I INTEND to be, I must take control of me. I must fatten my small half, give it LOVE, make it laugh. And if I listen to its fear, my other half may... APPEAR. —from A Thin Book of 'Fat' Poems |
NO LONGER ROOM...
A Poem of Self-Improvement I cannot really change how tall I am
but I CAN change how tall I stand. ...I cannot really change the color of my skin or the sound of my voice, but I CAN change the colors of my expressions. ...I cannot really change my bone structure But I CAN change the structure of my environment... —excerpt from TheHealingPoems.com |
MY UNIQUENESS
A Poem of Empowerment ...It's not my depression,
it's MY acceptance It's not my recklessness, it is MY curiosity, and love of life. It's not my chaos, it's MY artistic soul. It's not my weakness, it is MY UNIQUENESS. —excerpt from A Thin Book of 'Fat' Poems |
MY SUPPER AND...
A Poem of Proactivity ...And I better do it fast,
before I get hungry again. Cause, you see, when Hunger comes It may also eat my PLAN! --excerpt from A Thin Book of 'Fat' Poems |
I HAD TO KILL IT
A Poem of Empowerment Today I chose to kill my fear,
and why? Well, let me see... It was an act of self-defense as IT was killing me! —from Little Poems of Big Wisdom (coming out in the future) |
You can find some of these short poems in A Thin Book of 'Fat' Poems. It is a collection of inspirational poems about self-acceptance, empowerment, and freedom from self-sabotage, addiction, emotional eating, toxic relationships, and more.

"Each suppressed whisper of your soul that is allowed to SPEAK UP, each hidden tear that is allowed to fall, becomes like a seed of self-realization. A seed that sooner or later has no choice but to EMBRACE its blossoming, its process of becoming a spectacular, one of a kind FLOWER."

"During a difficult time in my life, this drawing of a lady with extended arms showed up to me together with my short poem called "And, no End," (connection, not division). I call her Lady And. Ever since I became AWARE of my "inner and outer chains", this Lady and other whimsical characters, whom you will see in many of my poems, started showing up. They wouldn't leave until I would write down the messages they had for me. I was astounded by the wisdom they brought into my life. How was it possible that a character from my imagination may know more than I do? I would eventually learn that most of them represented some part of me - a part that was neglected, or often a suppressed EMOTION. I was discovering the greatness of the subconscious mind. As a child, I loved fairytales and cartoon drawings. And now, as an adult when I was giving up on life, my tiny characters reached out to me. Through my dialogs with them, they have lead me to incredible, ultimate healing."
